Let’s celebrate the legacy of Philippine Cinema once more!

The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) hosted the Philippine Film Industry Gala Night on September 12, the birth of Philippine Cinema. The program is part of the ongoing celebration of the first Philippine Film Industry Month. Hosted by Kakki Teodoro, our partners leaders of the Philippine Film Industry joined us as we commemorated the significance and heritage of Philippine Cinema. World-class performers Isay Alvarez and Robert Seña also joined us for a special performance. The event was then followed by a special screening of the restored masterpiece of Sampaguita Pictures and Olive La Torre’s “Dalagang Ilocana” (1954).
