MANILA, PHILIPPINES, MARCH 21, 2022 — The selection of FilmPhilippines' eighteen production incentives program grantees for 2021 was facilitated by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) with a panel of creative and technical experts.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, MARCH 18, 2022 – Kapampangan short documentary, Kalmanting Batu-batu King Malanging Lambak A Alang Angin (Rocks in a Windless Wadi) by EJ Gagui will be competing at the Visions du Réel (VdR) International Film Festival Nyon 2022 which will be held in-person at Nyon, Switzerland in April 7-17, 2022. 

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, MARCH 18, 2022 – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is worked together with the Philippine Embassy in Singapore in bringing the Filipino romance film, Write About Love by Crisanto Aquino for an exclusive screening at the Auditorium of the Shaw Foundation Alumni House, National University of Singapore (NUS) last March 17, 2022.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, MARCH 18, 2022 — Following its triumph in Cannes Film Festival bagging the Best Actress Award for Renate Reinsve’s performance in 2021, now nominated for two Oscars, internationally-acclaimed Norwegian film The Worst Person in the World will have limited onsite screenings at Film Development Council of the Philippines’ (FDCP) Cinematheque Centres in celebration of Women’s Month through the Cine Filipina: Women’s Film Festival. 

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, MARCH 17, 2022 – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), through its FilmPhilippines Office (FPO), has named its five grantees for the Incentives Program 2021 Cycle 3 with two for the International Co-production Fund (ICOF), two for the ASEAN Co-production Fund (ACOF), and one for the Film Location Incentive Program (FLIP).

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, MARCH 14, 2022—Netflix, in coordination with the Film Development Council of the Philippines, will be holding a closed-door webinar on sustainable practices in the film and creative industry with the theme “Philippine Green Screen: Exploring Sustainability in the Creative Economy.” The event will be held online on March 16, 2022, and will be attended by the government, members of the local film industry, and the academe.

While the film industry is fueled by imagination,passion and eagerness often associated with the youth, it takes more than dreams and hopes to make it—a filmmaker needs to have guts, perseverance, and a knack for innovation.  Full Circle Lab PH alumnus and a (once) young filmmaker himself, Carlo Catu, goes full circle and shares his words of advice to aspiring filmmakers dreaming of making it in the industry in a virtual interview.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, MARCH 10, 2022 — Undersecretary Mary Liza Diño has been reappointed for another three-year term as the Chairperson and CEO of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).  FDCP Chairperson and CEO Diño took her oath before Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez in a virtual ceremony this Wednesday. Also present in the oath-taking ceremony were representatives from DTI and the FDCP employees.
