HABITS AND PREFERENCES OF FILIPINO VIEWERS OF LOCAL FILMS IN METRO MANILA PHILIPPINES

MAKATI, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) in partnership with De La Salle University’s Social Research and Development Center (DLSU-SRDC), has released a comprehensive study on the viewing habits of Filipino audiences in Metro Manila. This follows the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the two institutions on March 5, 2024. 

THE FDCP SIGNS PH-FRANCE CINEMATIC CO-PRODUCTION TREATY

CANNES, FRANCE – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and France’s Centre National du Cinéma et de l'image animée or National Centre for Cinematography (CNC) have officially signed the Philippine-France Cinematographic Co-production Agreement at the 78th Cannes International Film Festival. 

FDCP TO SCREEN RESTORED VERSION OF NORA AUNOR’S 1984 FILM ‘MERIKA

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) proudly presents the premiere of the digitally restored version of ‘Merika (1984) by Gil Portes at the Metropolitan Theater on May 18, 2025. This restoration is part of the council's ongoing commitment to preserving Philippine cinema through the Philippine Film Archive.
