Berlinale Co-Production Market Returns as In-Person Event, Opens Call for Visitors Programme 2023

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, DECEMBER 23, 2022 —  The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is now accepting applications for this year’s edition of the Berlinale Co-Production Market Visitors Programme which will be returning as an in-person event. The FDCP will be selecting three Filipino producers to be a part of the much-awaited networking platform for international co-production happening from February 18 to 22, 2023 in Berlin, Germany.

The Berlinale is back after two years of hiatus from holding onsite events, including the Berlinale Co-production Market. Producers with projects in development who plan to pursue international co-productions are eligible to apply for the Visitors Programme and be a part of the Philippine delegation to Berlin. The Visitors Programme includes sessions, pitches, and networking events with the goal of enriching the filmmakers knowledge of the international market and funding opportunities. 

As one of the biggest gatherings of film professionals in the world, the Berlinale Co-production Market is a venue for selected participants to network and get to know the current trends in the film industry, particularly in the field of international co-production and funding. Selected producers will get access to the following perks and will each be eligible for a reimbursable 50,000 PHP stipend for travel and accommodation expenses (subject to proper accounting and liquidation):
