FDCP OPENS THE SECOND CYCLE OF CREATEPHFILMS FUNDING PROGRAM
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), in its continued commitment to support skilled and talented Filipino filmmakers, is pleased to announce the opening of applications for Cycle 2 of CreatePHFilms running from July 5 to 25, 2025.
CreatePHFilms is a funding program designed to support Filipino filmmakers in developing and producing high-quality local films across all stages of production. The program provides a wide range of financial assistance tailored to various types of film projects.
WHAT’S NEW IN CYCLE 2?
All feature-length funding categories now offer an extended completion timeline of up to 1.5 years - an increase from the previous one-year limit. This gives filmmakers more time to fully flesh out their projects.
FUND YOUR PROJECT WITH CREATEPHFILMS!
Here are the five funding programs for CreatePH’s Cycle 2:
Development Phase:
1. Project Development Fund
Timeline: 1.5 years
Available Grant: up to ₱300,000
This category is for filmmakers in the project development stage. This fund supports the development of mid- to feature-length scripts and the refinement of the story before the cameras roll.
Production Phase:
2. Small Budget Production Fund
Timeline: 1.5 years
Available Grant: ₱1 million
This program accommodates projects with a total budget under ₱15 million. A fixed amount of ₱1 million is allotted to selected projects to cover their production costs.
3. Large Budget Production Fund
Timeline: 1.5 years
Available Grant ₱3 million to ₱5 million
This is for larger-scale projects with a production budget of at least ₱15 million. This fund supports major productions by providing significant financial assistance for the film’s production.
Post-Production Phase:
4. Post-Production Fund
Timeline: 1.5 years
Available Grant ₱300,000 to ₱500,000
Films in post-production with a total post-production budget of at least ₱500,000 can apply for this to help complete their project
From Production to Post-Production Phase:
5. Short Film Fund
Timeline: 1 year
Available Grant up to ₱500,000
This is the newest category in CreatePHFilms. This fund supports short films from production to post-production with a one-year completion period.
